The Call Guy

Member or Admin

What a Member and an Admin can each do, what only the account owner does, and how to change someone's level.

Everyone on your team is a Member or an Admin. A Member runs campaigns. An Admin also runs the team and the workspace's settings. Paying stays with the account owner.

The two levels

The dashboard says each level in one line:

  • Member: "Campaigns, replies, recordings and voices."

  • Admin: "All of that, plus the team and workspace settings."

These are the lists the Team page shows when you open a person:

To see the same table while you invite, select Learn about roles on Team.

The account owner

The account owner is the login whose email the account belongs to. On Team, the owner reads Admin, marked Account owner.

  • The owner is an Admin nobody can remove or change.

  • The owner is the only one on the team who pays: bundles of credits, campaign line numbers and their invoices. The Team page says "Billing stays with the account owner."

  • A teammate who opens Billing reads The account owner buys the credits: "ask them to buy the bundle. The credits land on the workspace you share."

In a dealer group, the group's owner can also pay for the group's stores. See Billing across stores. A store added to a group from the dashboard has no owner who signs in: its row on Team is the store itself, "The store itself. Nobody signs in as it." See Add another store.

Change someone's level

You need to be the account owner or an Admin.

  1. Open Team in the sidebar.

  2. Select the person's row.

  3. Select Edit access.

  4. Choose Member or Admin under Access. The list under it shows what that level can do.

  5. Select Save access.

What you see

a message that says their new level, with Undo for a moment.

Lowering an Admin to Member stops every invite they sent from working. The panel warns you before you save, and the message counts the invites it revoked.

Good to know

  • You can't change your own access. Ask another Admin.

  • A level change applies at once.

  • In a dealer group, a person's level can differ by store: Admin at one store, Member at another. On each store, they work at their level there.

  • People a dealer group gave a store to show on that store's Team page with a Group mark, or Group · Store level when their level on that store is set apart from their group level. The group's owner and its Admins change their level on each store with Edit access in their panel, and their stores on the group's Members page. See People and levels across stores.

  • The team behind The Call Guy's support visits work at the Admin level, and never as a teammate. See When our support team is in your workspace.
