Add a teammate's voice

Send a teammate a private link: they read a short script with their consent spoken in it, and their voice lands in your library.

A teammate can put their voice on your campaigns without a login. You send them a private link. They read one short script out loud on their own phone or computer, and their voice lands in your voice library as your team's voice.

Before you start

  • Your email is confirmed, and your balance holds credits.

  • A slot is free. A teammate's voice uses one of your 3 included cloned voices. See Remove a voice to free one.

  • Your teammate agrees to it. They give their consent themselves, out loud and with a tick box. See Voice cloning rules.

Send the invite

  1. Select Voice library in the sidebar.

  2. Select Invite a teammate.

  3. In Add a teammate's voice, type Teammate's name. It labels the voice in your library.

  4. Send it one of two ways:

    • Type Their email and select Email the invite.

    • Or select Copy invite link and send the link yourself. A copied link needs only the name.

What you see

A line says the invite was sent to their address, or that the link was copied, and that the link works for seven days. Invite someone else starts a new one. Done closes it.

What your teammate does

  1. They open the link. Nothing to install, no account to create.

  2. They read one short script out loud, about forty seconds. The first two lines are their consent, spoken: "Hi, this is me — I'm recording my voice for our voicemail campaigns with The Call Guy, and I'm happy for it to be cloned for that." The recording itself is the record.

  3. They hear the take back, and tick the box that says it is their own voice and that they consent to your business cloning it for your voicemail campaigns. The box also says it can be removed from your library at any time.

  4. They select Send my voice.

What you see

Their voice appears in your library the moment they finish. Refresh the library to see it. Its line reads "Your team's voice" and the day it was cloned.

If the consent lines could not be heard in the recording, your teammate is asked to read the first two lines clearly and try again. Nothing is cloned without them.

Good to know

  • The link works for seven days. After that, send a fresh one.

  • The invite email names you or your business as the one asking.

  • If your library is full when your teammate records, they are told your library is full and to ask you to free a slot.

  • You cannot invite your own email address. To clone your own voice, use the studio. See Record your own voice.

  • Each voice is used only for your account's campaigns, and never shared between clients.
