Add another store
Turn your account into a group by adding a second store, or add a store to your group, without a second mailbox.
Run your other stores from the same login. If you run one business today, adding a second store turns your account into a dealer group. If you already run a group, its owner adds stores from the store menu. A new store needs no email address and no second mailbox, and each one gets its own short setup.
Before you start
To turn your account into a group:
You sign in as the account owner, not as a teammate.
Your email is confirmed and your account is Canadian.
Your login is not part of a group and holds no seat on another business's workspace. If it does, the door is not shown.
To add a store to a group you already run, you are the group's owner. Admins and Members don't add stores.
Turn your account into a group
Open the pill at the top of the sidebar and select Settings.
Under Business, select Add another store. You can also go to the last row of your business profile, Run another dealership from this login, and select Add another dealership (Add another location for other industries).
Check Group name. It starts as your business's name followed by "Group". You can change it.
Type the New store name.
Check the Province and the Time zone. Both start from your own province, and the time zone follows the province until you pick one.
If the new store's mail should go to another address, type it in New store email (optional). Leave it empty and that mail comes to you. See The store's email.
Select Add store.
What you see
the dialog says your account becomes a dealer group (or a group, for other industries), that your store stays yours with everything in it, and that its credits become one balance every store spends from. When you select Add store, the new store opens on its setup steps.
If the group was made but the store could not be added, the dialog says so. Select Go to my stores, then use Add a store in the store menu to try again. Nothing that was made is taken back.
Add a store to your group
Select the pill at the top of the sidebar, then Add a store. You can also select Add a store at the top right of All stores, or on the Stores row of Settings, Group.
Type the Store name.
Check the Province and the Time zone.
If the store's mail should go to another address, type it in Store email (optional). The store's mail then goes there instead of to you. Nobody signs in with it.
Select Add store.
What you see
the new store opens on its setup steps.
Set up the new store
The new store opens on three short steps: Your business (its name and industry), Delivery (its time zone and the phone its callbacks ring) and Summary. See Set up your business.
The store's campaign line, voices and team are its own, and you set each one up as you would for any business.
The store's email
A store you add here has no email address of its own, and nobody signs in as it. The dashboard keeps it apart from your other stores without one.
Its mail comes to you. The store's notices come to the group's owner. When each store pays for itself, its invoices come to you too. See Billing across stores.
Or to the store's own address. Add a Store email and that mail goes there instead, such as a shared inbox at the store. It is only where the store's mail goes: nobody signs in with it.
Nothing to confirm. The store needs no confirmation link, so nothing waits on one.
People open it with their own logins. Give someone the store from Members, or from From your other stores on the store's Team page. See People and levels across stores.
Add or change the store's email later
Open the store from the pill at the top of the sidebar, then select Business profile.
On the Store email row, select Add, or Edit if it has one.
Type the address and select Save. Leave the field empty to send the store's mail to the group's owner again.
What you see
with no address, the row says "Optional. Until one is added, invoices and notices for this store go to" the group's owner's email. With one, it shows the address and "Invoices and notices for this store go here."
The group's owner and the Admins on that store can change it. Others see it without the door.
How the store shows on its Team page
The store's Team page lists the store itself, as the store's name followed by "· Store", with the line "The store itself. Nobody signs in as it." Its status reads No sign-in. Under the list, the page says the store "has no sign-in of its own: people open it with their own logins."
Good to know
A group holds up to 25 stores. Past that, the form says to contact The Call Guy.
A store that already has its own Call Guy account is brought into your group by the team behind The Call Guy. Email contact@thecallguy.ca and name the store.
A store whose setup isn't finished shows Finish setup in the store menu and on All stores, and a dot beside its name in Settings.
If a store was added but couldn't be opened, the form says so. Add it again with the same name to finish.
