The Call Guy

No surprise bills

You pay before you send, a credit is spent only on a delivered voicemail, and the only monthly charge is a campaign line number.

The Call Guy is prepaid. You know what you pay before a campaign goes out, and voicemails are never billed after the fact.

What that means

  • You pay first. You buy credits in bundles, and each bundle is one QuickBooks invoice: the bundle's published price, plus GST or HST by the province on file for your account.

  • You pay only for delivered voicemails. A credit comes out for each voicemail that is delivered. A returned voicemail never costs a credit.

  • A campaign never spends more than you have. It sends what your balance covers, and the rest waits until you top up.

  • Credits last 12 months. What you do not use waits for your next campaign.

  • The follow-up text is included. One text after a delivered voicemail rides that voicemail's credit.

  • One monthly charge, and only if you have a campaign line number. Each number is $10 a month plus GST or HST, on its own QuickBooks invoice. It is never taken from your credits.

  • Nothing tops up on its own. You choose when to buy a bundle.

An invoice is how you pay: every purchase is a QuickBooks invoice, paid through Intuit.

Check what you have paid

  1. Open Billing in the sidebar, then Invoices.

  2. Select the Paid card.

What you see

every paid invoice, with its amount and the day it was paid. Each one's ⋮ key holds Receipt PDF.

Check what is still open

  1. Open Billing, then Invoices.

  2. Select the Open card. Past-due invoices are included, and the Past due card counts them on their own.

A bundle invoice you have not paid adds no credits and starts nothing. Your credits land only once it is paid.

Good to know

  • Asking for the same bundle twice never makes a second invoice: you get the one already open.

  • Releasing a campaign line number yourself stops the next month's invoice. The month already started stays payable.

  • A number whose invoice is still unpaid 45 days after it was issued is released, and that invoice is voided: there is nothing to pay. Until then the number keeps working.

  • Prices are before tax. GST or HST is added on each invoice, the same way for a bundle and for a campaign line number. See Bundles and prices.

  • If you believe a charge is wrong, write to contact@thecallguy.ca. Section 4 of your terms, "Credits, pricing and payment", says how it is reviewed.

  • For a question about a refund, your agreement or closing your account, ask the team at contact@thecallguy.ca.
