The Call Guy

A teammate's invite won't open

The invite link says it expired, was used, was replaced or was revoked. What each one means for the person invited, and how an owner or Admin sends a fresh link.

A teammate joins your workspace from the private link in their invite email. When the link can't be used, the page says why. The person who was invited reads the message; the account owner or an Admin sends a fresh link.

What the invite page says

The page saysWhat it meansWhat to do
"This invite expired."Invites work for 7 days.Ask for a fresh link.
"This invite was already used."The seat is set up.Select Sign in to your dashboard.
"A newer invite was sent."This link is the older one.Open the newest invite email.
"This invite was revoked."The invite was withdrawn.Ask for a fresh link.
"Couldn't reach the server."The link itself may be fine.Select Try again.
"This invite won't open."The link is incomplete or was changed.Open the link from the invite email itself, or ask for a fresh one.

If the page says "That email already has a Call Guy sign-in — sign in first and this page will finish the join.", sign in with that email. The page finishes the join after.

You need to be the account owner or an Admin.

  1. Open Team.

  2. Select the invite's row.

  3. Select Resend. The new link works for 7 days. Copy link copies it, to send it yourself.

What you see

a new invite email goes out with a fresh link. The older link then reads "A newer invite was sent."

To take an invite back, select Revoke invite.

Good to know

  • The person invited gets an email with a private link: one click, a password, and they're in your workspace.

  • A login can hold seats on more than one workspace.

  • If a seat is removed while that person has the dashboard open, they are taken to Log in, which reads "Your access to" your workspace "was removed." Their sign-in keeps existing, and you can invite them back any time.
