The Call Guy

Who sees your list

Where your contact list goes, who uses it and for what, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted.

Your contact list stays yours. It is used only to produce and deliver your campaigns, on your instructions. This page says where it goes and when.

While you build

  • The builder reads your file in your browser. The contacts stay there while you map, review and write.

  • A column you leave out on Map never leaves your browser with the campaign.

  • The set-aside download is made in your browser too.

  • When you hear a take in the preview, only that one voicemail's words are sent, to be read in the voice.

  • Your list reaches us when you sign the campaign and submit it for review.

After you submit

  • Our team reviews every campaign before it sends, unless your store chose Send on my own. See How the team reviews a campaign.

  • We process the list on your behalf: to produce the voicemails, deliver the campaign and report the results back to you.

  • We use service providers to run the service, for example for audio production, voicemail and follow-up text delivery, and telephone numbers. They process information only as needed to provide their service to us.

  • Some of those service providers operate in the United States, so your list may be processed there. The same protections apply wherever it is processed.

What we never do

  • We never sell contact lists.

  • We never use them for our own marketing.

  • We never share them between clients or reuse them for anyone else's campaigns.

How long it is kept

Campaign material, your list included, is kept for as long as it is needed to run your campaigns and give you accurate reporting. When it is no longer needed, or when you ask us to delete it, we remove it, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion

  1. Email contact@thecallguy.ca.

  2. Say what you want: to see, correct or delete the information we hold.

If someone on your list contacts us and would rather not hear from your business again, we pass the request along to you.

Good to know

  • You are responsible for having the right to contact the people on your list. See Consent comes first.

  • A conversation with the assistant never holds the people on your contact list. See Ask the assistant.

  • The full policy is in Privacy.
