Questions and answers
The questions clients ask most, answered in two or three sentences, each with the page that goes deeper.
Credits and cost
You buy credits in bundles before a campaign, and one credit pays for one delivered voicemail. Prices are in Canadian dollars, per delivered voicemail: 500 credits at $1.10 ($550), 1,500 at $0.90 ($1,350), 3,000 at $0.80 ($2,400) and 10,000 at $0.55 ($5,500). GST or HST is added on the invoice, by the province on file for your business. See Bundles and prices.
Credits last 12 months from the day you buy them, and they keep the rate of the bundle you bought them in. Whatever a campaign doesn't use waits for your next one. Credits bought before November 2, 2026 never expire. See How credits work.
It costs nothing. A credit is spent only on a delivered voicemail: a voicemail that comes back is marked Returned, and its credit returns to your balance on its own. See Delivered, returned and to go.
No. One follow-up text after a delivered voicemail is included in that voicemail's credit. It is one text per voicemail, never a second, and replies cost nothing. See The follow-up text.
Campaigns and voices
Delivery runs at ~75%, measured across real campaigns. What a given list does depends on the list, and no single campaign is promised a rate. A voicemail that isn't delivered costs nothing. See Delivered, returned and to go.
A person on the team reviews every campaign before it sends, unless your store chose Send on my own. While it waits, the campaign's page shows In review: "Usually within one business day". You get an email the moment it's approved. The builder only offers starts at least two hours away, to allow for review. If your start date is close, ask the team from the campaign's page. See How the team reviews a campaign.
Yes. Record your voice or your team's in Voice library (one read of about forty seconds), or pick one of the house voices. Three cloned voices are included with your account. See Record your own voice and The house voices.
Voicemail scripts are read in English today. If you need French, ask the team at contact@thecallguy.ca before you build the campaign. Your campaign line and your follow-up texts can be in English or French: you choose under Language on the line, and under English or French on the builder's When step. See What the campaign line is.
Your account and your list
A campaign the team sent back as Needs changes waits for you: edit it and resubmit, or leave it. Once a campaign is scheduled, there is no cancel button: to cancel or change it, message the team from the campaign's page. To close your account, email the team at contact@thecallguy.ca: the terms say "You can stop using the service or close your account at any time by emailing us." See Change or cancel a campaign.
Your list is used only to produce your voicemails, deliver your campaigns and report the results to you. We never sell it, use it for our own marketing, or share it between clients. See Who sees your list and Privacy.
No. The Call Guy serves businesses in Canada and delivers to Canadian numbers only, across Canada. A business outside Canada can join a list at sign-up to hear when we open up where it is, and numbers outside Canada on a list are set aside and never sent. See Across Canada.
A campaign needs at least 25 contacts with a number we can call, and you buy credits in bundles before it goes out. For a question about a contract or a refund, ask the team at contact@thecallguy.ca. See Prepare your list and Bundles and prices.
An intro call is time booked with the team: the dashboard, the process and your questions, with the bundle that fits. Nothing is sent to your list. Select Book an intro on the site, or Book a walk-through on Help in your dashboard. See Get help from the team.
