How much you can ask in a day
The assistant's daily allowance of messages and voice time, how credits raise it, and what you see when a day runs out.
The assistant has a daily allowance: a number of typed messages, and a number of minutes of voice. You can use it from your account's first day, before you buy anything. Credits on your balance give you a larger day.
Your day
With credits on your balance: the full day of messages and voice.
No credits yet: a starter day, with fewer messages and fewer minutes of voice. Buying credits raises it.
Each question you send uses one message. Voice is counted by the time you spend talking with it.
The day starts again at midnight UTC. When a day runs out, the assistant tells you when it resets, on your own clock where it can.
The size of each day is set by the team behind The Call Guy, and can change.

Open Assistant in the sidebar.
Read the fine print under the box.
Example
What you see
on a starter day, "Free today:" with your messages and voice minutes, and "buying credits raises it." Near the end of any day, the fine print counts down the messages left today.
When the day runs out
What you see
a note in the conversation: "That is today's" number of "messages for this account. The allowance resets" at a time, "and the builder works as always in the meantime." Under it, New campaign opens the builder.
On a starter day, the note also says how many messages a day holds once the account has credits.
When the voice time runs out, the note says the voice allowance resets at midnight UTC, and that typing works as always in the meantime.
You can always build a campaign yourself in the builder. It does not use the assistant's allowance.
Accounts without credits share two limits
While your account has no credits, two more limits sit behind your own day:
One address: accounts without credits that ask from the same internet address share one allowance. When it is used up, the note says "That is today's assistant allowance for accounts without credits at this address."
Everyone without credits: all accounts without credits share one limit for the day. When it is used up, the note says "The assistant has answered all it can today for accounts without credits."
An account with credits never meets either limit.
What still needs credits
Asking needs no credits. These still do, whether you ask the assistant or do them yourself:
hearing a script read in a voice;
recording a voice;
sending a campaign.
Nothing the assistant does spends your credits. See How credits work.
Good to know
For a store in a dealer group whose billing is shared, the group's one balance decides which day the store is on.
If the count cannot be read, nothing starts, and the note says "The usage meter could not be read, so nothing was started. Try again in a moment."
