Find your way around
The sidebar's places, the top bar, search, the Help menu and the tour: where everything lives in the dashboard.
Every page of the dashboard sits in the same frame: a sidebar down the left, a bar across the top, and the page in the middle. This page names each place, what it is for, and how to reach it. For a guided look, take the tour from Getting started.
The sidebar
At the top of the sidebar is your business's name. Select it to open the workspace menu: Settings, Team, Business profile, Billing, Credits with your balance, Invite a teammate (for the account owner and Admins), Talk to a person and Log out. A dealer group's menu also lists its stores. See Switch between stores.
Under it, the places, in this order:
Home: what was delivered, your campaigns, your credits, what needs you, and your campaign line.
Inbox: replies to your follow-up texts.
Assistant.
Campaigns.
Calendar: every campaign on its day.
Campaign line: your local number, where callbacks ring, and how your follow-up texts end. It is also where you get a number.
Voice library.
Delivery & recordings, which opens to Voicemail drops, SMS delivery and Callbacks.
Team.
Billing, which opens to Credits and Invoices.
At the foot of the sidebar, your business's name and your credit balance. Select it to open Billing.
The top bar
At the left: Search for anything. See Search.
At the right: New campaign, Help (the question mark), Settings (the gear), Notifications (the bell), and your avatar.
Notifications gathers what needs you, like a campaign that needs a change or replies waiting in your Inbox.
Your avatar opens Your account: your name and email, Profile, Notifications, Security, Privacy, Terms, your other workspaces if you have any, and Log out.
New campaign
Start here. Pick a list, write the script and choose a voice. The team reviews it before anything goes out. New campaign is in the top bar on every page. See Send your first campaign.
Assistant
Ask anything about your account, or describe the campaign you want to run and build it together. It is in the sidebar, under Inbox. See Ask the assistant.
Campaigns
Every campaign you've built, where it stands, and how many voicemails were delivered. Open one for its whole story. Calendar, just under it, shows the same campaigns on their days. See Your campaigns and the calendar.
Inbox
Replies to your follow-up texts, from every campaign in one place. You answer from your campaign line. See The Inbox.
Your welcome message
A new account finds Welcome to The Call Guy at the top of Inbox, and as the first notice on the bell until someone on the team opens it. It holds a short welcome video, a list of resources and the key features.
The video greets you by name and names your business. While yours is being made, the message says "Your welcome video is being made", and the video plays there as soon as it's ready.
Captions are off to start. Select the Captions key on the video's bar, or press C, to turn them on. Your choice is remembered on that device.
In a dealer group, each store has its own welcome, addressed to the store's team.
If our team gave your account starter credits or a free number, a second message sits beside it, for example Your starter credits and free number are ready, with Choose your number to get your free number. See Get a number.
Voice library
The voices your campaigns speak in: your voice or your team's, recorded once, or a house voice. See The house voices and Record your own voice.
Delivery & recordings
What happened to every voicemail: delivered or returned, and the recording each person heard. It opens to three pages:
Voicemail drops: every voicemail, grouped by campaign.
SMS delivery: what became of each follow-up text.
Callbacks: the calls that came back to your campaign line. Counts calls to that number only.
Credits
A credit is spent only on a delivered voicemail, misses come back, and credits last 12 months. Billing in the sidebar opens your balance and credit activity under Credits, and your invoices under Invoices. See How credits work.
Team
Invite the people who run outreach with you. Billing stays with the account owner. The account owner and every Admin can invite. See Invite your team.
Settings
Your store's name, time zone, campaign line and callback numbers, all on one page. Open it with the gear in the top bar, or from the workspace menu. Settings also holds your own Profile, Notifications and Security. See Your profile and your store's details.
Search
Jump to any campaign, voice or page, or start something new, from anywhere.
Select Search for anything in the top bar, or press ⌘K on a Mac (Ctrl K on Windows).
Type what you are looking for. Narrow it with All, Campaigns, Contacts, Replies, Voices or Invoices.
Select a result to open it.
Search can also start things: New campaign, Add a voice, Getting started, and, for the people who may, Buy credits and Invite a teammate.
What you type can go to the assistant as a question: Ask the assistant and your words.
Help
Quick answers, the Getting started guide, and the team behind The Call Guy whenever you want a hand. Select Help (the question mark) in the top bar:
Help center: quick answers, the assistant, and the ways to reach the team. See Get help from the team.
Getting started: your setup checklist, how a campaign runs, and the tour.
What's new: the changes to the dashboard, newest first.
Talk to a person: an email to contact@thecallguy.ca.
Take the tour
Select Help, then Getting started.
Select Take the tour.
What you see
the page dims and a ring opens around one part of the dashboard, with a card that names it, says what it is, and counts the stops.
Select Next to move on, or Back to return. The arrow keys work too. The last stop's door is Finish.
To stop at any time, select the close button (End the tour) or press Escape.
A place that is not on your screen is skipped.
On a phone or a narrow window
The sidebar folds away. The menu button at the left of the top bar opens it as a sheet.
The top bar keeps New, search, Help, the bell and your avatar.
Your setup checklist becomes a bar at the foot of the page. See Your setup checklist.
Good to know
The builder, the business profile, getting a number and setting up callbacks open full screen. Their own Back or exit door takes you back.
A dealer group's pages have their own rows, starting with All stores. See All stores at a glance.
