Two-step sign-in
Add a six-digit code from an authenticator app to every sign-in, turn it off with a current code, and what to do if you lose your phone.
Two-step sign-in asks for a six-digit code from an authenticator app at every sign-in, on top of your password. It is yours alone: you turn it on for your own login, and nobody on your team can turn it on or off for you.
Before you start
Install an authenticator app on your phone. Any app that makes six-digit sign-in codes works.
Turn on two-step sign-in
Select your initials at the top right of the dashboard, then Security.
Under Two-step sign-in, select Set up.
Scan the code shown with your authenticator app. If you can't scan it, select Enter a setup key instead and type the key into your app.
Type the six digits your app shows into Six-digit code.
Select Turn on.
What you see
"Two-step sign-in is on." The section lists Authenticator app with the date it was added.
If the code isn't accepted, the dialog says "That code wasn't accepted. Wait for a fresh one and try again."
Sign in with two-step on
Sign in with your email and password as usual.
On Two-factor check, type the six-digit code from your app.
Select Verify and open my dashboard.
Once it's on, every sign-in asks for the code. A browser or phone that was signed in before asks for it on its next visit.
Turn off two-step sign-in
Open Security.
Under Two-step sign-in, select Turn off on the Authenticator app row.
Type a current code from your app into Six-digit code.
Select Turn off.
What you see
"Two-step sign-in is off."
Reset your password with two-step on
If you reset a forgotten password while two-step sign-in is on, you enter a code from your app before the new password is saved. See Your password.
If you lose your authenticator
Email contact@thecallguy.ca from your sign-in address. The team behind The Call Guy can remove two-step sign-in from your login, so you can sign in with your password and set it up again.
Good to know
Two-step sign-in is set per person, not per business. Turning it on protects your login in every workspace it opens.
An Admin can't change your password or your two-step sign-in.
