Remove a voice
Remove a cloned voice from your library to free its slot, undo it in the moment, and what stops a removal.
Removing a cloned voice deletes it from our voice engine and frees its slot in your library. Campaigns you have already sent keep their audio either way.
Before you start
You are the account owner or an Admin. A Member seat does not see Remove voice. See Member or Admin.
No campaign still needs the voice. A campaign that is in review, in production, scheduled or sending keeps its voice until it has gone out.
Remove a cloned voice
Select Voice library in the sidebar.
Find the voice under Your voices.
Open the voice's menu (More for and the voice's name).
Select Remove voice.
What you see
The voice leaves the list at once, and a message says Voice removed with Undo.
To keep the voice after all, select Undo before the message goes. The voice comes back untouched.
When the message goes without an Undo, the voice is deleted and its slot is free. If you close the tab first, the removal still goes through.
When a voice cannot be removed
| What happens | Why, and what to do |
|---|---|
| The voice comes back with a message that a campaign still needs it | A campaign that has not gone out yet uses this voice. It can be removed once that campaign has gone out, or email us to swap it. Open the campaign takes you to it. |
| The voice comes back with a message that it couldn't be removed | Try again in a minute. |
| A house voice has no Remove voice | House voices are never removed. |
Good to know
A removal cannot be undone once the message has gone. To use that voice again, record it again.
Removing a voice frees a slot right away for a new voice. See Record your own voice.
You can also ask us to delete a voice: email contact@thecallguy.ca.
Voices are cloned only with the speaker's permission and never shared between clients.
