Hear it before anyone else
Play the voicemail as each contact will hear it, in the preview beside the builder, before you sign the campaign.
Beside the builder is a preview of what your contacts get. On Their phone, you can play the voicemail in the voice you chose, with each contact's own details, before anything is signed or sent.
Before you start
Your email is confirmed and your balance holds credits. Hearing a take opens once a bundle is on your balance. See Confirm your email and Buy credits.
A voice is chosen and the script is written on Voice and message. For a message for each lead, your list is uploaded.
Play the voicemail
In the preview on the right, select Their phone.
Select the play button. It reads Play with the contact's first name and "voicemail".
The take is made in your voice, tone, pace and volume, and plays.
Select Previous lead or Next lead to hear it with another contact's details.
What you see
A phone showing the voicemail as your contact receives it: the number it comes from, and under What they will hear, the words they will hear. Over the phone, the contact's name and which lead you are on.
If something stops the take, the play button says what:
| The button says | What to do |
|---|---|
| Choose a voice first | Pick a voice in the voice row. |
| Add your list first | Upload your list on Audience. |
| Write the message first | Write at least a short script in Voicemail script. |
| Fix the message first | Fix what the builder flags under the script. See Merge fields. |
If a take cannot be made, a line under the phone says "The take was not made." and why.
The three views
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Script | The words with the contact's details filled in and marked, and about how long they run. |
| Their phone | The voicemail on a phone, with its play button. |
| Follow-up text | The text the contact gets after a delivered voicemail, once you set it on When. |
Hide the preview closes the pane. On a narrower screen, Preview on their phone under the script opens it.
Good to know
A take spends no credits. A credit is spent only on a delivered voicemail. See How credits work.
One take is made at a time. A take you already heard plays again without being made twice. Change the words, the voice, the tone, the pace or the volume, and the next press makes a new one.
Each account has a daily limit on takes. When it is reached, the builder says so: the limit resets the next day, and your approved script is still made in full for the campaign, so nothing is lost.
Our team also listens before your campaign sends. See How review works.
Questions while you listen? The round button at the bottom right of the builder opens Ask the assistant. See Ask the assistant.
