The Call Guy

Several workspaces on one login

One login can hold seats on more than one business. Switch between them from your account menu; one is open at a time.

A workspace is one business's dashboard: its campaigns, campaign line, team and credits. One login can hold a seat on more than one workspace, for example if you help at two businesses. One workspace is open at a time, and you switch from your account menu.

How you get a second workspace

You get one by accepting a team invite from another business, sent to the email you already sign in with.

  1. Open the invite email and select Join the workspace.

  2. If the page says "That email already has a Call Guy sign-in", select Sign in to accept and sign in with your usual password.

  3. Back on the invite, select Join followed by the business's name.

What you see

the new workspace opens. Your other seats stay, listed in your account menu.

An email that runs its own Call Guy account can't take a seat on another business. The invite page says "This login already runs its own workspace" and asks for an invite to a different email of yours. Inside a dealer group, the group's own stores are the exception. See People and levels across stores.

Switch to another workspace

  1. Select your initials at the top right of the dashboard.

  2. Select the workspace in the list under Terms. Each one shows your level there: Admin or Member. In a dealer group, your own store reads Yours.

What you see

a "Switching to" window with the workspace's name, then that workspace's Home, and the message "You've switched to" and its name.

If the switch can't go through, the menu says why.

Which workspace is open

  • The workspace you switch to is kept on your login. Sign in on another device and that workspace opens.

  • Every tab follows it. A tab that was showing another workspace opens again on this one, with the message "… is open now. It was opened in another tab or on another device."

  • The pill at the top of the sidebar names the open workspace. Its menu shows the workspace's name, your email and your level, then that workspace's own rows: Settings, Team, Business profile, Billing and Credits.

When a seat ends

If a business removes you, that workspace stops opening for you.

  • If you hold another seat, the dashboard opens that one and says "… is open now. Your access to the other workspace has ended."

  • If it was your only seat, you are signed out.

Good to know

  • Your profile and your security settings are the same in every workspace. Alerts are chosen workspace by workspace.

  • A workspace reads by the business name on its business profile.

  • A dealer group's stores are workspaces too. Switch them from the pill at the top of the sidebar. See Switch between stores.

  • If you own a dealer group and also hold a seat on a business outside it, that business shows in the pill's menu under Other accounts. Its credits and billing stay its own.
