Calling hours
When a campaign may start and when voicemails and follow-up texts go out, read on your business's time zone.
Every campaign starts inside calling hours, and nothing is delivered outside them. The hours are read on one clock: your business's time zone, set in Settings.
Before you start
Your business needs a time zone. Until one is set, a campaign cannot be scheduled.
Only the account owner or an Admin can change the time zone. A Member is asked to check with an admin.
The hours
| Calling hours | Start times you can pick | |
|---|---|---|
| Weekdays | 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM | 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, on the half hour |
| Weekends | 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM | 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on the half hour |
The last start of the day sits an hour inside the calling hours.
A campaign is handed over to go out at its start time.
These hours sit inside the CRTC's telemarketing hours. Weekdays end half an hour before the CRTC's limit, on purpose.
Pick a start inside the hours
In the builder, open When.
Choose a Start date. You can pick any day from today to 60 days out.
Choose a Start time. The list only offers the starts that day allows.
What you see
under the card, one line: "Calling hours: 9 AM to 9 PM on weekdays, 10 AM to 6 PM on weekends", your zone, then "Nothing is delivered outside them."
The builder refuses a start that:
is less than two hours away. It says "Choose a start time at least two hours ahead to allow for review."
has already passed.
falls outside that day's start times.
is skipped or repeated by daylight saving time. It says "This local time is skipped or repeated by daylight saving time. Choose another start time."
The server checks the start and the hours again when you submit. A start the builder would refuse is refused there too.
The clock a campaign runs on
The When step says "Times are" and your zone's name, "your business's time zone". If no zone is set yet, the step asks for Your business's time zone right there and saves it to your business.
Everyone on the list gets the campaign on that clock. The builder does not read each contact's time zone. If some of your contacts live in another time zone, pick a start that suits them too.
To change the zone, see Your business's time zone.
Statutory holidays
The When step flags a start on a Canadian statutory holiday, by province and territory.
A holiday is a flag, not a block. The band offers the next working day, and you can keep the holiday if you mean to.
B.C. and Alberta clocks
British Columbia and Alberta stopped changing their clocks on November 1, 2026. Every local clock in the product, including calling hours and text hours, follows the new rule. From that day, Alberta's zone is named "Alberta Time". British Columbia stays "Pacific Time".
Follow-up texts
A follow-up text goes out 7 minutes after its voicemail is delivered.
Texts go out between 9 AM and 9 PM, every day of the week, on the campaign's time zone.
A text that would land outside those hours waits for 9 AM the next morning.
